The FIITJEE Talent Reward Exam (FTRE) is a much awaited exam every year. This year too the exam was held on the 23rd of December 2018 across all centres in India. The number of students who wrote the FTRE this year across the country is over 1.5 lakhs. This is a big jump from the last year’s numbers. It goes to show how popular the exams have become every year. The exams showcase the logical thinking and scientific aptitude of the students. The students writing the exam range from class V to class XII. Students in class V and VI wrote one paper with objective type questions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Aptitude for a duration of 3 hours. Students from classes VII, VIII and IX wrote two papers for the duration of 3 hours each. Paper I gauges the current level of preparedness in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics while Paper II tests goal-oriented analytical skills in the same subjects. Students in classes X and XI wrote three papers of 3 hours each. The first paper is on Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and Biology.
The second paper is on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the third paper on Biology. In TamilNadu and Kerala region alone the number of students who took the exam were over 9300 students. Most of the students found the exam challenging and expressed interesting views about the questions in the test papers. The results will be declared for different classes on different dates, between 5th January 2018 and 14th January 2018. This is the 26th year since FIITJEE opened its doors to quality education and it is generous in giving scholarships to deserving students. Cash scholarships and fee waivers worth about 10 crores are applicable to students studying in classes VIII onwards. Fee waivers and other benefits are also available for the deserving students. The students can enrol in any one of the FIITJEE programs across the country from 8th to 24th January 2018. In the Tamil Nadu region, access to all training Programs are available at Chennai, Coimbatore and Salem.
