HR SUMMIT on raising employer expectations & changing corporate scenario

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women organized HR SUMMIT on Raising employer expectations & changing corporate scenario” in the college premises 21st August 2019. Employers have higher expectations and corporate scenario is changing widely. Hence, it is time we take action to bridge the gaps between industry and academia, bringing our students to the best version of themselves, broadening their understanding, widening their knowledge-range and making them employable youths. The esteemed Moderator for this event Mr. Clayton Sullivan, Director, Recruitment Operations, Allegis Global Solution graced the occasion with his presence.

The respected panelists from various domains were Mr. Venkatesan, Senior Executive, HR and Admin, PIL India, from Shipping and Logistics Domain. Mr. Abhishek, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Cognizant Technology Solution; Mr.AshiqMiandad, Business Partner HR Infosys, both of them from IT domain. Mr.M.K.Karthik Nagur, Manager-Talent Acquisition, Visionary RCM from Healthcare Domain. Ms.Nithya, HR Executive, HDB Financial Services, from Banking Domain and Ms. Sajna, CBO, Lead Recruitment, Tata Consultancy Services from ITES Domain. Principal Dr. S. Padmavathi ;Vice Principal Ms.S.Rukmani, all the Heads of the Departments and student representatives were also present for the inaugural session. Principal insisted the importance of this summit to know the corporate expectations and enhance the students with the required skill set.

The moderator Mr. Clayton Sullivan expressed his gratitude to the management for the invite and addressed the audience on how cultural fit or the corporate culture is important for a fresher to adapt themselves. The panelists emphasized on the need to have a balance of employment skills and holistic approach in the current pedagogical structure in order to meet the evolving dynamics of the global world. They enlightened our students on the requirements and needs of widening our horizon in today’s work space.
