The Thiruvanmiyur MTC bus terminus always gets fully water logged every time during heavy rainfall. The water stagnation causes inconveniences to the public as well as the MTC staffers to enter the office. It’s due to the existing low level which stagnates with rain water to a depth of one foot. Even the portico in the campus is submerged with water at the time of downpour. The entrance of MTC bus terminus is also found with great potholes with stagnation of water which inconveniences the crews to operate and enter the buses in the terminus and bus depot. There are number of MTC buses being operated from Thiruvanmiyur bus terminus towards ECR, OMR, Thiruvottiyur, Tollgate, Broadway, East Tambaram, Velachery, Guindy, ICF and Perambur. A well raised road level at the Thiruvanmiyur terminus will put an end to the water stagination menace which always occurs.
