‘We Are’, the largest panoramic mural in India (63,000 sq. ft) through powerful stories, attempts to clear misconceptions around AIDS/HIV and aims to spread the messages of shared responsibility and equality by showcasing portraits of AIDs/HIV survivors alongside portraits of those who don’t have the disease.
The mural is in association with Asian Paints @asianpaints , St+art India @startindia, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society – (@tansacs), Tidel Park (@tidelparkchennai) and Southern Railway; painted on the walls of Indira Nagar Metro Station, Chennai.The art is designed by Chennai based Akill @ad57akill_t3k and Delhi based Khatra @bykhatraPlease find below video that shows how those with HIV & AIDS are marginalised in society and how the mural is a symbol of solidarity that aims to bring positive changes to their lives.
